Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo Video Showing Our Hospitality Based upon Real Instances Video Aired from March 29, 2019

TOKYO -The Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo, one of Japan’s most prestigious international hotels located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has produced a video entitled “PLAZA, All for our guests’ smiles” that recreates real instances of our exemplary hospitality. We will hold an explanation meeting to showcase this video and begin airing it on You Tube on March 29, 2019. This 23 minute long video is comprised of six episodes of our staff interacting with guests, including four scenes from the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo and one each from the Keio Plaza Hotel Tama and the Keio Plaza Hotel Hachioji, and includes prologues, epilogues and interviews with our staff. In keeping with its title, “PLAZA, All for our guests’ smiles” demonstrates our various efforts to achieve our goal of becoming the hotel with the highest level of guest satisfaction in Japan. At the same time, this video is also produced as a recruiting tool with the objective of reaching out to potential staff who share the spirit behind this video.

Our Hotel previously produced our first video in 2008 to showcase the Keio Plaza Hotel’s concept of hospitality and act as a tool for recruiting new staff and for use in hospitality training. The second and most recent video continues to show the unwavering spirit of our hospitality, and has been produced to reflect the evolution of our services in response to changes in our operating environment during the 10 years since the first video was created.

Episode 1: OPERATION “0214” <Concierge>
This episode shows Club Lounge Concierge staff Yuki Atsuta talking with a male guest about his desire to create a special once in a lifetime surprise for his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The video subsequently shows Yuki leading the girlfriend into a Club Lounge private room to receive her special surprise.

Episode 2: My Home, my hotel “Home away from home” <Lobby Service>
This episode shows lobby attendant Takumi Hasegawa attending to a mother visiting our Hotel with her daughter who is suffering from an injury. This is actually a common occurrence in the day to day operations of our Hotel, and reflects the concern of our staff for the well being and comfort of all our guests.

Episode 3: Remember the martini <Bartender>
This episode shows our Main Bar Brillant bartender Shinichiro Otsuka preparing a cocktail for a female guest visiting from overseas. This video depicts not only Shinichiro’s high skill levels in making beautiful and delicious cocktails that accurately match our guests’ moods and tastes, but also his ability to remember the preferences of guests from their previous visit even 10 years previous.

Episode 4: Voice connection to ensure safety <Universal Services>
This episode recreates the 50th year anniversary celebration of the Japan Guide Dog Association with 180 guide dogs in attendance. Our banquet coordinator, Shinobu Enomoto, and 28 other hotel staff are shown diligently guiding visually impaired guests to the ballroom from our Hotel entrance. Also, this episode depicts the strong desire of our staff and their efforts to provide a welcoming and safe hotel environment to physically impaired guests.

Episode 5: A place full of smiles <Waiter at Keio Plaza Hotel Tama>
This episode depicts a fun conversation between our Restaurant Manager Daisaku Ishino with one of our regular guests, a couple with their granddaughter, to enjoy a delicious meal. This scene shows how the Keio Plaza Hotel Tama has gained the strong support of guests in the surrounding Tama community

Episode 6: A unique dish in the world <Wedding Planner, Pattisier at Keio Plaza Hotel Hachioji> This episode recreates a meeting between our wedding planner Harumi Sugiyama and our Executive Chef Shinichi Sato with a couple scheduled to hold their wedding at our Hotel. The couple is discussing their request for a special menu to be prepared for their wedding reception.
