Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo Holds“Sports News Photograph Exhibition 2018” Highlighting Athletes of 2018 Winter Sports, Para-Sports and Other Global Sporting Events

 TOKYO - Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo (KPH), one of Japan’s most prestigious international hotels located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will host a photographic exhibition celebrating athletes from around the world entitled “Athletes Competing in the Global Arena – Sports News Photograph Exhibition 2018” in cooperation with The Mainichi Newspapers Co., Ltd., The Sports Nippon Newspapers Co., Ltd., Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Co., Ltd. and ITO EN, Ltd. from August 7 (Tuesday) to October 1 (Monday), 2018. This exhibition will display some 40 photographs taken by The Mainichi Newspapers and The Sports Nippon Newspapers photographers of various sporting events, including those of Japanese athletes who performed extremely well in the global winter sports and para-sports events in 2018. This complimentary exhibition will held in the lobby of our Hotel for the enjoyment of our guests.

This “Sports News Photograph Exhibition” has been held annually to support both Japanese and international athletes by focusing attention upon their performances through news photographs. Also, this exhibition is a precursor to a number of the world’s most widely recognized global sporting events scheduled to be held within Japan in the coming years. This year marks the fifth time that this Exhibition is held and the photographs displayed capture precious and rare glimpses of athletes in action competing in various global sports events.
