Description Visitors can learn about the Japanese seasonal motifs through a variety of cultural artworks.

*Reservations are not required, but the event has limited seats.
*Participants must be elementary school age and over.
*Payment will be accepted at the Lobby Gallery on the day of the event.

Description: Participants will create colorful Hawaiian ribbon leis or Hawaiian quilts with patterns of fireworks lighting up the summer night. The vibrant fabric and tropical design are reminiscent of the sparkle of fireworks.

Handkerchief Dyeing Experience to Cool Down in Summer

Dates: Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2
Price: JPY 3,000


Description: Participants will experience tie-dyeing using everyday items such as rubber bands and disposable chopsticks on a high-quality cotton lawn handkerchief. Original handkerchiefs dyed in a color of choice can be wrapped around one's neck or framed as a decoration.

Choyo-no-Sekku; Flower Box Arrangement Experience

Date: Saturday, September 6
Price: JPY 3,000


Description: The Japanese tradition "Choyo-no-Sekku" (The Chrysanthemum Festival) is a special day honoring longevity and health, symbolized by chrysanthemum flowers. So wishing for good health and a long life, participants will create a preserved flower "flower box arrangement" featuring chrysanthemums in this lesson.

Decorating Autumn in Japan: Hagaki-kake (Scroll postcard display) Experience Themed by Jugoya (Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon Festival)

Dates: Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4
Price: JPY 3,000


Activities: Participants will make a postcard with the theme of "Jugoya," a traditional autumnal event, using traditional Japanese materials. Additional postcards can be drawn to be switched out according to the season or mood.

Journey in Search of Autumn: Yuzen Dyeing Tenugui Hand Towel Experience

Description: Participants will depict "autumn" with dyed works of art, while focusing on nature's changing colors. The beauty of the deepening season will be reflected on the fabric in the colors of choice, enriching the senses.

Description: Christmas is a special season to share love, gratitude, and hope. Participants can choose from several types of ribbons and decorations to create their own original wreath.
