Measures to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In response to the coronavirus outbreak, Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo is taking the following actions in consideration of the health and safety of our guests and employees and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.(as of November 30, 2020)

“SAFEGUARD LABEL”

Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo has acquired the “SAFEGUARD LABEL,” issued by Bureau Veritas which is a world leading provider in testing, inspection, and certification, as a hotel facility that meets the world’s health and safety standard. We are striving to provide guests with the utmost, service, care and ensure their safety at our hotel.

【Public area】

・We make hand sanitizers available at locations around the hotel, hotel entrances, lobby area, restaurants and bars, and restrooms.

・We sanitize doors and door knobs of guest rooms and ballrooms, restroom doors, escalator handrails, and other facilities that are frequently touched using alcohol at regular intervals.

・Antiviral and antibacterial coating is applied to elevator buttons.

・We have our employee wear masks for the health and safety of our guests.

・We install plastic shields at reception desks and cashiers to prevent droplet infection.

・We provide complimentary mask storage for guests when dining at restaurants.

・Number of people in elevators is limited to secure social distancing.

・Fresh air is circulated throughout the hotel and air purifiers are placed in the lobby.

【Accommodation】

・We ask that all guests take temperature checks and fill in health check surveys when check-in.

・We provide hand sanitizer and mask storage kits to guests.

・Fresh air is circulated throughout hallways during daytime room cleaning.

・Housekeepers deeply clean furniture and bathrooms and disinfect equipment frequently touched by guests.

・A “Clean Stay” sticker seal is placed to indicate guests that the room has cleaned and sanitized.

・We make hand sanitizers available in the lounge.

・Frequent sanitation and cleaning during operations to maintain safety and hygiene measures.

・We install plastic shields at reception desks.

・Seating capacity reduced to allow tables to be spaced.

【Restaurants and lounges】

・We refuse the entry of guests who have a fever above 37.5 degrees Celsius.

・Frequent sanitation and cleaning during operations to maintain safety and hygiene measures.

・Seating capacity reduced to allow tables to be spaced.

・Staff wearing masks and gloves.

【Meetings and events】

・Seating and table layout to ensure social distancing

・Hand sanitation at entrances of meeting rooms

・Seating capacity reduced to ensure social distancing in meeting spaces

【Employees】

・Staff wearing masks on duty.

・Frequent hand washing and sanitizing

・Temperature checks and daily health self-reports

・Health management system introduced to monitor employees' physical condition

・Following government guidelines in regard to business trips and attending meetings and events.
