Japanese Flower Arrangement “Ikebana” Workshop

Ikebana Japanese flower arrangement experience, now offered to visitors!

Our Ikebana experience, which had been offered to our staying guests, is now offered to our non-staying guests (with fee)!
You may learn about the insight of “Ikebana” from one of the most prominent Ikebana artists, Hiroki Maeno, in a quiet private room. Come try making your own masterpiece!

  • Time: (Limited to 6 guests per session)
    Session 1: 4:30p.m. - 5:15p.m.
  • Location: Private room Family Parlor “Emerald” (9th floor of the South Tower )
  • Price: 3,000 yen (Please pay in advance at the front desk on the lobby 3rd floor)

Japanese Flower Arrangement“Ikebana” Exhibition

Winter 2017 - 2018

We host a special exhibition of “Ikebana” flower arrangement created by the renowned artist Hiroki Maeno 4 times a year. About 5-meter flower arrangement lavishly adorned with seasonable flowers, trees and colors which are the symbolically important representatives of the Japanese aesthetic beauty, is displayed in the main lobby area for hotel guests to enjoy free of charge. The world of Maeno has come to transcend the boundaries of Ikebana.

Ikebana Flower Arrangement Artist Hiroki Maeno

Hiroki Maeno is able to produce many different styles of works using his protean skills and ingenious arrangements which pleasantly surprise all those who view them. He has been given a guild name “Hana-Takumi Maeno” or “Flower Artisan Maeno” in recognition of his extreme talents and abilities, which have come to transcend the traditional boundaries of Ikebana flower arrangement. Maeno has also come to be known as a “Flower Arrangement Architect” because of the beauty and grand scale of his flower arrangements. He has been asked to create flower arrangements for the APEC Energy Meeting held in Kyoto, the 1300 Year Anniversary of the Jinguji Temple, and numerous other events including television programs and plays.
