On June 5th 2021, Keio Plaza Hotel celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Looking back at the last 50 years through numbers, we are honored by the continued patronage of our esteemed guests.
As Japan's first skyscraper hotel, we have welcomed approximately 160 million guests from over 100 countries around the world since June 1971. Approximately 32 million guests stayed with us, 98 million visited our restaurants and bars, and around 37,000 weddings were held.
We have also welcomed state guests, legendary celebrities and VIPs from around the world. Over the years, Keio Plaza Hotel has attracted a great deal of attention as the pioneering hotel in Tokyo to have a variety of unique plans and events. For 50 years, we have strived to continually provide innovative and warm hospitality that had kept up with the times and the ever-changing needs and requests of our guests, be it in the accommodation, weddings or restaurant space. Hidden in these numbers, are all the precious smiles of our guests accumulated over the years.
Since our opening, it is a passionate desire of ours to become a “plaza” that creates encounters and gatherings of people. With the deepest gratitude for a wonderful and memorable 50 years, we will continue to take a new step each day with all our guests.
