One of the pleasures of staying at a hotel is that one can enjoy a relaxing time and forget about the hustle and bustle of daily life. As a hotel that has welcomed a wide range of guests over the years, we have been quick to meet the needs of guests with babies and young children, supporting moms with various hotel services.
In 1978, Keio Plaza Hotel opened an in-house nursery where guests can leave their children in the hands of childcare professionals. In 1996, we offered a plan that allowed parents to leave their children at the nursery and enjoy some time together as a couple. And also an accommodation plan which includes a professional mid-wife for the important post-natal recovery phase after being discharged from the hospital, which then became a trending topic at the time.
Since the beginning of 2000, there have been an increase in the number of people taking childcare leave and we have expanded our facilities and services to anticipate the needs of mothers and their families. Such as a dedicated nursing room and a wedding plan for couples who are tying the knot after having children.
Amongst our various plans, a “Happy Baby Stay Package” was created in 2012 in response to the requests from mothers who would like to have a relaxing and comfortable stay. To lighten the burden on parents, we have prepared various childcare products in the hotel rooms. This has become a popular hotel package and continues to evolve over time and with the ever-changing needs of parents.
Together with time and our guests, we have managed to evolve and grow while providing for guests and their children. With the increasing number of hotel staff who are parents themselves and have experiences with childcare leave, we are able to continue working on enhancing services that will continuously make every mom and dad smile.
