Message Relay from Artists

To all the people around the world who are fighting with the COVID-19 pandemic "Message Relay from Artists" Series
We would like to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to those who have been infected or lost their lives as a result of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. We also would like to appreciate people who work on the front lines.

In this project, artists connected to Keio Plaza Hotel will join in a relay format to send a message to everyone around the world who is fighting with COVID-19. The artists from fields that would not normally be collaborated, because of the current climate, will come together to deliver for this project. We hope that our life return to normal soon... Until then, please be safe and healthy!

Naoki Ogi, an education critic and professor emeritus

"Message Relay from Artists" Series - Naoki Ogi
The fourth is Naoki Ogi, an education critic and professor emeritus at Hosei University. Currently, most of the schools in Japan are closed, but this does not mean that the educational activities themselves are closed, just that they cannot enter the school building. However, only about 5% of elementary, junior high and high school students in Japan have access to online education, which is far behind the rest of the world. Why don't we explore the way education should be for all adults so that the next generation of children can get a developed education?

Hidemi Sasaki, chanson singer

"Message Relay from Artists" Series - Hidemi Sasaki
The third artist is a chanson singer, Hidemi Sasaki. "There's not a night when the morning doesn't come." Now is the time to endure, but surely the morning will come again. We're looking forward to the day when we can listen to Hidemi Sasaki's wonderful singing voice again in the concert hall! The season of fresh green has come. Just looking out of the fresh green might lift our mood, don't you think? Let's keep our heads up :)

This quilt artist decorates our main lobby with hanging doll ornaments for our annual Girls' Doll Festival known as Hina-matsuri. She is currently volunteering to hand out handmade masks to neighborhood preschools.
